With an objective to educate children about physical, mental and social health, Pragati Public Sr. Sec. School celebrated Health Awareness Day for students of Pragati Slivernest on 22nd November’19
The children were sensitized about the importance of bathing every day, washing their hands before and after eating, exercising daily and inculcating other healthy habits to avoid falling sick. The toddlers were asked to avoid junk food and to eat healthy food in their daily routine. Emphasis on maintaining hygiene was the important focus of the day.
Tiny tots learnt a lot from the session and promised to follow all the good habits.
An Inter School Quiz Competition was organized by Pragati Public Sr. Sec. School on 20th December’19 for grades VI-VIII under the ageis of Kota Sahodaya Schools Complex.
A total 15 schools registered for the competition, which formed the responsive audience, who cheered with aplomb and applause.
The quiz began with Phase-I, A written round in which all the 15 teams were screened and 5 teams, who scored the highest progressed to the next Phase. The teams were: Guru Nanak Public School, Pragati Public Sr. Sec. School, Lawrence and Mayo Public School, Bakshi’s Springdales School and Bansal Public School. These five teams were assigned names alpha (), Beta (), Gama (), Delta () and Omega () to maintain anonymity
The race for the next rounds turned intense with the degree of difficulty in the questions going several notches high. The Phase II consisted of five rounds incolving General, Audio, Visual, Guess-Who Am I? and Rapid Fire.
It was a graceful event full of exchange of knowledge in the arena of quiz.
In the highly charged atmosphere, the students of Pragati Public Sr. Sec. School brought laurels for the school by bagging the first position, while the second position was secured by Lawrence and Mayo Public School.

Glorifying the cutting age of victory Pragati Public Sr. Sec. School celebrated its Annual Sports Day on 14th November 2019 on the sprawling ground of the school. It was a day filled with fervor and exhilaration, mist thrills and cheers. The event commenced with the arrival of Chief Guest Dr. Zafar Mohd. (Chairman Pragati Group) , Dr. Parvez Khan (Director Pragati Public Sr. Sec. School), Ms Sarika Sharma (Principal Pragati Public Sr. Sec. School).
The event was followed by school flag hoisting, lighting of torch and athletic flame and well synchronized march past by all houses.
The Pragati kids dazzled the audience with their dance, PT, aerobics, yoga and athletic events which were a treat for the eyes as this energetic event comprised of 100 mtr race, relay race, tug of war etc.
Awards were fascinated among the students for different sport events as well as for the Academics. Water House won the trophy for the best March Past and also possessed the best house trophy. The school playground was rimmed with flags reverberating with the sound of cheers made everyone’s day ; The school band added the glory to the event.
Program concluded with the sincere greetings of Children’s Day to all the students .
India celebrated her 73rd Independence day on this August 15, 2019.
Pragati Public Sr. Secondary school celebrated Independence day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. It is the day when we all get together to thank and remember our great freedom fighters .
The program starts with the flag hoisting by the Chairman Dr Zafar Mohd accompanied by the Director and Principal of the school followed by the National Anthem.
The spirit of freedom and nationalism was well exhibited by the students through a spectrum of patriotic speeches, songs and dances.
The celebrations concluded with the inspiring words of our Chairman who spoke on the history and significance of the Independence day .

With the aim of honing the dancing skill of the students Inter House Dance Competition was organized by Pragati Public Sr. Sec. School for students of Classes III to V. The theme of the competition was ‘Indian Folk Dance’. The vivacious dancers set the floor on fire with their energetic performances. The fun filled performance offered folk dance forms of Rajasthan, Punjab, Gujarat and Maharashtra.
The spectator witness to the enthusiasm and energy of the young heritageans as they enthralled everyone with the performances.
It assimilated the art of culture that breathes within our heritage.

On 9th August 2019, Pragati Public Sr. Sec. School got an opportunity to be a part of Measles and Rubella vaccination campaign organized by government of India. Under this programme students from class nursery to X were given vaccinations to help them develop strong immunity power and ensure good health.

Pragati Public sr. Sec. School has set a bench mark for conducting activities in such a way that the students not only enjoy but also learn a lot.
With the same perspective in view, on 31st July 2019, Transport O` … Means of transport was conducted for the tiny toddlers of Pragati Silver Nest.
With a motive to teach the different modes of transportation School has arranged a rally comprising of Camel Cart , Horse Cart , Rickshaw , e- Rickshaw . Bicycle, two wheelers and four wheelers. Children were also guided with the road safety rules.
It is indeed a creative style of learning. As it not only teaches children about what different vehicles are for and how they work, but also uses it to teach other important concepts such as safety when riding in a vehicle or walking.
Children really enjoyed the ride and had fun. They actively participated with great zeal and enthusiasm.
Art can be entertaining, funny and serious, however; it also reveals the divine form when it is synchronized with spiritual enlightenment.
On Friday 26 July, 2019 Odissi and Acrobatic Gotipua dance performance was organized at ‘Pragati Public Sr. Sec. School’ by the Kota Chapter Of Spic Macay .
Gotipua is a traditional dance form in the state of Odisha . The performance was showcased by the young artists from Orissa of age group 8-12 years, dressed up as girls. This particular art of dance form (Gotipua) is performed at Jagannath temple at puri. The dance displayed various steps and expression of worshiping & devotism.
We, at Pragati Public Sr. Sec. School believe in experiential learning and embedding learning into activities. In keeping with the International Mango Festival, Mango Day was celebrated in the school on 26th July 2019.
Our tiny tots looked liked Alphonsos dressed in yellow school uniform. Various facts about the fruit were discussed with the students.
Kids of Pragati Silver nest participated in the ‘Mango Shake Activity’, where in teachers prepared mango shake in the class.
Besides it being a fun activity, it was also a medium of language development for the children. They participated in craft activity related to the fruit.
It was a day full of mango delights. It was a sweet and juicy day for the little buds of the PRAGATI SILVERNEST.

With a theme of “patriotism ”, Pragati Public Sr. Sec. School commemorated an Inter House Group Song Competition under the guidance of performing Art Department.
The students of Classes III-V represented their houses in it.
The choir of the four houses presented awe-inspiring songs.
The competition began with the welcoming of the judges and reached to its zenith excitement with an absorbing music and songs . Every house expressed its mastery over voice-modulation , rhythm , coordination, presentation and other aspects of singing.

Investiture ceremony for the newly appointed student council was organized on 9th July 2019.
Office bearers were conferred with badges and sashes by the Chief guest Mr. Sanjay Sharma DSP, Kota and the Chairman Dr. Zafar Mohd.
Director Dr. Parvez administered the oath taking ceremony along with the Principal Mrs. Sarika Sharma in which the emerging leaders of the institution promised to live up to the expectations and work with synchronization.
The chief guest Mr. Sanjay Sharma DSP , Kota advised the children to inculcate the values of punctuality, discipline and determination as they are the torch bearers of tomorrow.

To develop an ability to think about the attributes of objects and to relate them with different objects , shape mania activity was conducted for pre primary kids.
Children observed and identified different shapes like circle, square, rectangle etc.
Kids learned the concept of solid shapes with the help of old toothpaste box , cubical boxes, birthday caps , ball and many other.

On 6th July’ 2019, one of the important day for PRAGATIANS marked as student’s council election day, where the nominees were elected as representatives. The voting was performed by the students as well as the staff members by digital mode, for the various post such as : Head boy , Head Girl , Junior and Senior Captains and Vice Captains.

It was a pleasant morning for our PRAGATI school to inaugurate the summer cricket camp season -2 with an AUSTRALIAN COACH – BRAD MURPHY . He was welcomed by our honourable Chairman, Director of the school, Principal, Staff members and the loving children.
Brad Murphy, an Australian coach had given training to the youngsters in individual batting skills and wicket keeping drills.
He shared his international experiences with our young cricketers.

For a memorable start of a summer vacation, fun day was organized in the school .
Fun day is a true celebration of a community of learners who have grown into cohesive classroom team.
Different movie shows according to their respective grades were organized. The day had an atmosphere of joy and excitement.
Cooking with kids is not just about ingredients and recipes rather its harnessing imagination, empowerment and creativity.
Our students prepared yummy lip smacking items like bhelpuri , fruitchat , sandwiches. Kids really amazed us and proved their versatility in cooking without fire.
This fun day was a good way to begin with summer vacation and the day ended with smiling faces.

Water play is an inevitable part of pre-school curriculum as it helps in gross motor development, eye hand co-ordination and also helps in vocabulary development.
The little ones of Pre-primary welcomed the showers of rain with their first pool activity. Bubbling with excitement and enthusiasm, in their colorful swim suits the children thoroughly enjoyed the splash pool activity, jumping in the water, splashing water at their friends and playing with floating toys.

Pragati School has endeavored to set a stage where activities are not only enjoyable but also a great learning experience for students. On the same premise an Inter House Debate Competition was held on 26th April’19 for grades VI-VIII on the topic ‘There’s more to a child’s life than academic successes.
Students from the four houses of the school vied with each other to creatively express their point of view for and against the motion. The teams prepared well and used their oratorical skills to convince the audience to their standpoint. The participants made their arguments more emphatic with right facial expression and gestures.
After much animated and significant arguments the debate competition concluded with great excitement when
Suban Ali Khan of Earth House was judged as the best speaker against the motion and Amisha Gupta of Air House was declared the best speaker for the motion; while the House Trophy was awarded to the winning team from the Earth House.
To enhance the academic attainments, in our School, an Inter Class Spell Bee Competition was organized on 23rd April, 2019 for grades III to V. The names of the teams were Composers, Narrators and Readers. Four rounds were conducted - general, rapid fire, audio and visual to excel in the scores of the teams.
The students participated with avidity and dueled through the toughest words to prove their mettle.

Pragati Public Senior Secondary School celebrated the World Earth Day with enthusiasm. The day began with a special assembly on the school premises. Children came up with many innovative ideas and activities including slogan writing, and poster making, displaying their awareness about conserving natural resources.
Earth Day is to raise awareness about the importance of protecting our planet and taking action. So, as a school our aim is to connect children to their inner selves and to the natural world around them, teaching them adapt to their environment and develop a life-long interest in environmental stewardship. On this occasion our staff and students pledged their responsibility towards Mother Earth to protect and save the dwindling natural resources and also respect their natural inheritance and be good caretaker of the planet.
To mark Earth Day our Kindergarten students were also involved in different activities depicting Earth Day. They were made to communicate few lines and slogans about keeping surroundings clean and taking care of Mother Earth.
The celebration concluded with a rally flagged off by Director of the School in the presence of the Principal, Mrs. Sarika Sharma. The students marched to the chants of slogans to protect and take care of our natural resources.
