INTER-HOUSE QUIZ COMPETITION

‘If you have knowledge, let others light their candles in it. ’ An exciting Inter-House Quiz competition was held in Pragati Public Senior Secondary School on 10 May 2023. The event was held in the school auditorium. The quiz was divided into five rounds: General, Visual, Audio, Reasoning and Rapid Fire Round. Every round was a mixed bag with questions from history, sports, books, languages, vocabulary and science. All the students were on the edge of their seats to know the answers to the quizzes. The participants too were very eager to show case their knowledge. The questions put forth to the teams were intriguing, exciting and made the audience applaud excitedly when the teams answered correctly. This quiz truly was a learning experience, for both the audience and the participants. In the end, Earth house bagged the first position, Fire house was placed in the second position and Water house stood third. “Elocution competition”

“If you can speak, you can influence. If you can influence, you can change lives”. Pragati Public Senior Secondary School organized an Inter Class English Elocution Competition for classes- VI to VIII to foster confidence and communication skills among students. The topic of the event was “Energy Alternatives- Only Resolution to Environmental Deterioration”. The contestant exuberantly participated in the competition and exhibited their rhetoric communication skills to the best of their ability. They presented their invaluable opinions regarding traditional sources of energy and the harm they do to the earth and alternative energy sources to save the deteriorating environment. “Red Day”

Learning becomes fun when it is imparted in the right way! Today Pragati Silver Nest celebrated a Red Day. The primary motive of celebrating the Red Day is to create in the kids an awareness of the significance of the colour red. The secondary objective was to develop fine motor skills in students. The day was marked with the presence of the colour red everywhere – red dresses, red balloons, red teddies, red cars, red apples, ……. red and red everywhere. The summer’s juicy and luscious fruit ‘Watermelon’ was put on show to display the red colour and as well as extol its nutrient values. Later the children gaily munched on the fruit. The students were beautifully dressed in their favourite red dresses .They also brought red objects to make it a complete and spectacular “Red Day”! “MOTHER’S DAY CELEBRATION”

MAY 12, 2023 “If there’s one person we can regard as a wonder woman, it would always be Mother.” Mother’s Day is celebrated to honor the contribution of mothers, acknowledge the efforts of maternal bonds and the role of mothers in our society. Pragati Public Sr. Sec. School’s Silver Nest wing celebrated Mother’s Day on May 12, 2023 in the school auditorium. The presence of mother along with the child on stage participating in various activities like dance, song, speech, musical chair, etc. filled auditorium with fervor and enthusiasm. The venue was adorned with various quotes and pictures depicting the Mother’s day. The gathering of adorable Pragati kids, their mothers, and staff members transformed the atmosphere of the school, filling the venue with laughter, music and dance and light-hearted entertainment. Prizes were given away to the participants and winner amidst great applause. It was largely a spectacular show. “Navrasa” of Bharatnatyam”

Pragati Pub Sr Sec School organized a breathtaking dance performance of Bharatnatyam by Dr. RajashreeWarrier under the aegis of Spic Macay. Dr. RajashreeWarrier is not only one of India’s foremost and renowned classical dancers, but also a vocalist, writer, media person and educator The students of our school were mesmerized by the beauty of the recital. The children were excited to learn about the “Navrasa” and the “Mudras” as explained by Dr. Rajashree. The recital of Krishna and Sudama’s friendship through “Natyam” impressed everyone deeply.
